Older Adult Volunteers Bring New Expertise and New Life to Nonprofits

Hi Folks,

I have a friend that owned his own pharmacy until he retired a few years ago. Since retiring he has gone on several mission trips to third world countries as a pharmacist. He helped set up the pharmacy for a free medical clinic and now works in the clinic as a pharmacist several days a week. I have another friend that volunteers two days a week at a pregnancy center. Several of my friends deliver meals-on-wheels. . .  I could go on and on but the point is that many retired people are making this world a better place by giving of their time and themselves helping others. 

Your community and the world needs volunteers and lots of them. Do you h
ave a few free hours a week? Ask around, I’ll bet that within a week you will find a volunteer position that needs you and that will add another dimension to your life.
