Hi Folks,

I hope today’s article isn’t a ”let down” for some of you. I’m sure Clement Castillo did not intended his article to be discouraging but rather to serve as a warning to both pre-retirement folks as well as to those who have already retired.

How Safe is Your Home?

Hi Folks,

Let’s face it, as we get older our homes need some renovations to make them safer. Activities that we once took for granted  like fixing meals, taking showers, and hurrying from room to room require a little more caution now.

But most of us are so independed minded that we don’t want to admit that we need some special safety features like grab bars and walk in showers . . . until we have an accident.

Give Gifts That ‘Pay It Forward’

Hi Folks,

Well, we attended our first Christmas party of the year yesterday evening. It was fun. Getting together with family and friends is always great but when it’s with special, long time friends it is even better.

Free Credit Report? Be Very, Very Careful!

Be very wary of TV commercials that offer free credit reports. The small print says that you will be billed a monthly fee unless you cancel the subscription, generally within seven days.

Preventing Costly Ice Dam Damage

Hi Folks,

Ever hear of an ice dam? I hadn’t untill a few years ago when I woke up to ruined ceilings, furniture and other assorted miseries including moving out of my house for a week while the contractor was repairing the damage.
