And I’m here to tell you that if you are pre-retirement concentrating on putting every cent possible into your retirement account is the most important job you have and, probably, the most difficult. And if you have family or friends that are planning their retirement, print out the following article for them or hit the Share button below and send them a copy. You don’t have to read a 500 page book to get started on a serious retirement savings program.

EASY ADVICE ON RETIREMENT INCOME
Hi Folks,
I am not a financial advisor – I have a financial advisor (and a darn good one) but, for some reason, most of my friends (retired and those still working) do not use financial advisors. Some of them have stock brokers, some manage their own 401k accounts, some manage their savings using mutual fund accounts and, I’m not sure, but I think one of them uses the old “under the mattress” system
.
Lots of folks don’t like to discuss the way they manage their retirement money. I guess they think they would have to explain and/or defend their method of money management. But over the years I have collected a few pieces of good advice from these people (except from the guy with the lumpy mattress) about how they calculated their retirement income and expenses and whether they had enough to retire on. I am not going to try to explain these tidbits of advice, heck, the experts write books explaining these things. I’ll just pass them along to you.

How to Avoid a Failed Retirement
Hi Folks,
In our younger years we knew that if we failed in our career or business choices we had the time to bounce back and start over. And many of us did - we picked ourselves up, dusted ourselves off and started all over again. But now that we are in our senior years – we simply don’t have the time and stamina to recognize our mistakes and make a new start . . . well, at least not a completely new start.
Sort of scary, isn’t it? And a bit sad. A failed retirement is not an option!

Choosing a Retirement Calculator
Hi Folks,
Years ago when I first began considering retirement I discovered retirement calculators and their value when planning for retirement. I chose an excellent calculator and followed its instructions to the letter. That is when I discovered that retirement for me was four years away.
Today my Financial Advisor has a retirement calculator that uses Monte Carlo Risk Assessment to determine if my retirement plan is on target to see my wife and me through our senior years.

SENIOR LIVING: An Extraordinary Retirement
Hi Folks,
Today’s article is directed primarily at pre retirees, encouraging them to prepare for an extraordinary retirement. But this message is just as important (and maybe more so) for seniors that have already retired.
So many of us enter retirement having no idea how we are going to use our time. I can tell you that the retirees I know who are involved in useful, worthwhile pursuits are a far happier lot than the ones that generally just twiddle their time away.
