Senior Gardening – Another Great Site For You to Visit
Hi Folks,
Well, have you started you spring garden? It’s real easy when you use raised beds and containers. And not only is it fun, it’s good for you. And oh the joy of harvesting your own vegetables, herbs and flowers!
A few days ago I told you about a great site for container gardeners, http://containergardening.about.com/, and I have added the site URL to my favorites list over in the right column. Don’t forget to sign up for Kerry’s newsletter, delivered via email. It’s really good and it’s free.

Raised Bed Gardening for Seniors
Hi Folks,
I just received a nice comment from Avi (not a senior but a raised bed gardener
), telling us about Kiwi Collars, prebuilt raised bed gardens. It appears that Kiwi Collars are only available in retail stores in California but you can have them shipped to you.
You can check out their website at http://www.kiwicollars.us/ and Avi’s blog at www.altglobe.com/blog/aviad.

Raised Bed and Container Gardening for Seniors
Hi Folks,
I am SOOO glad spring has arrived. Winters aren’t bad here in Greenville, SC, but bad enough to keep me out of the yard.
But now spring is here and it’s gardening time!
Although I have plenty of room in my yard for a regular garden my true love is raised bed and container gardening. Raised beds and containers not only provide plenty of vegetables for Janie and me (and some to share) but without all the hassle and hard work of a regular garden. And raised bed and container gardens are just plain fun.

Enjoying the Benefits of Gardening
Hi Folks,
I dearly love gardening and working in my lawn. I’m not very good at it, but I do enjoy it.
Up until four years ago I always had a nice size garden but after I retired Janie and I began taking long trips in early spring - the time when gardens need the most attention. So rather than come back to the disappointment of finding my garden in ruin I let the garden plot grow back into lawn.
