Popular Vacations for Active Seniors
Hi Folks,
I’m just back from exercise with my group. We have the best time. I never thought I would enjoy exercise!
This morning one of my friends in the group was telling us about his upcoming vacation to Denver. He has a very busy 10 days planned, including four games watching his beloved Cubs.
Most of my retired friends are very active, always off and doing something; traveling, helping others, repairing storm damaged houses, heading up food drives, blood drives, children camps, and on and on.

Retirement Income
Hi Folks,
My wife bought me a lottery ticket for my birthday (I didn’t win) which got me thinking – what would I do if I won a million dollars?
I’m not the sort of fellow that can spend all day just foolin’ around. I’m hard wired to have a purpose and a mission. If I had a million or so dollars I wouldn’t have to look for ways to earn the extra money I need, and I could hire the work done that I now have to do because I cant afford to pay someone to do it.
I’ll bet there are lots of folks out there that are a lot like me, purpose and mission driven. For right now though, most of us don’t have to be concerned about having enough money to live on. In fact most of are looking for ways of earning a little extra money.

Double Your Dollar Power With Discounts
Hi Folks,
OK, so its none of my business but, how is your money holding out?
Mine could use some help! Coupons are helping some. Eating out with friend at restaurants that offer Tuesday night senior specials and buy-one-get-one free meals is good. Buying most of our groceries at WalMart, Aldi, and Sams really helps a lot and I check everything else we need for sales before I buy. Every little bit helps.
The following article talks about getting the lowest prices. Scott McQuarrie has some good advice and some good ideas. Enjoy.

Thrifty Retirement – A Grocery Strategy
Hi Folks,
Well, Janie and I are back from a short but really nice getaway up in The Smoky Mountains.
We got a great deal on a nice condo in Pigeon Forge, TN. We prefer condos over motel rooms even if they are more expensive. We like to fix our own meals, have a balcony with a view and plenty of room to stretch out. We don’t get to stay as long because of the cost but it’s worth it to us.
If you have managed to save a little for a vacation this year there are some great deals out there if you do your homework. Hotels and condos have good rates and gas is relatively inexpensive. Restaurants are still expensive but you can fix most of your own meals and maybe treat yourself to one nice dinner.

Kid Friendly Family Vacations
Hi Folks,
Some of the best times I have had were when I took my daughter and later my granddaughter on vacations and outings. Some were pretty elaborate – Disney World, some not so elaborate - Ringling Brothers Circus and some were downright simple – cookouts in the backyard. But all remain wonderful memories.
Today I use ever chance I get to advise young couples to be building memories with their children while they are still young. And I encourage my older friends to plan trips and outings with their grandchildren.
