Keeping Your Brain Young
Hi Folks,
I published the following article in “Woody’s Retirement Blog” back in February. As it contains such important information for all of us seniors I thought I should post it in “Retirement on a Budget”.

How to Make Retirement Interesting – Retirement Goals
Hi Folks,
One of my favorite contributing authors is Cathy Sevenson. Her articles are always refreshing and thought provoking. Here is her latest contribution to this blog and on a subject that we seniors should be teaching to the younger folks, setting goals. Unfortunitately, many of us never learned how important it is to set goals.
Have a great day,
Woody

Cheapest Gas in Town
Hi Folks,
In case you haven’t noticed, the price of gasoline is going up again! Ouch! And this on top of everything else. I noticed that the guy down the street with the Smart Car is grinning from ear to ear.
Good for him.
So it’s time to drag out the Cheap Gas Locators again. My favorite is MapQuest’s “Local Gas Prices” http://gasprices.mapquest.com/. Just type in your zip code and there you’ll have it - a MapQuest map with a list of the stations with the lowest gas prices and a map with their location pinpointed.

Follow These Rules For Writing a Memoir in Your Retirement Years
Hi Folks,
A few months ago, Janie (my wife of 53 yeras) and I had a get-together in our home for some 20 of our friends. The highlight of the evening was evereyone setting around in a tight circle, taking turns telling about ourselves. One of the things that came out of the evening was that several of those folks should write their memoirs! What stories they some could tell.
I’ll bet lots of you folks have some wonderful/exciting stories to tell . . . if only to your great grandchildren.

Older Adults and Osteoarthritis
Hi Folks,
Got joint pain? Well, they have a new name for it (or at least it’s a new name to me), BOOMERITIS.
Osteoarthritis in older adults is now called Boomeritis. Shoot, I have OA and giving it another name didn’t ease the pain one little bit. :-) Read more…

A Handy Way to Keep Your Mind Sharp
Hi Folks,
I spend time every day searching for information that is important to and of interest to seniors. I thoroughly enjoy finding what seniors are interested in, searching for the best information on the subject and then passing it along through this blog.
I have learned from my research that one of the things – maybe the number one thing – seniors are concerned with is keeping mentally sharp. So I often publish articles on how to remain mentally fit.
