THE COMMON MAN’S ADVICE ABOUT RETIREMENT INCOME 

I am not a financial advisor – I have a financial advisor (and a darn good one) but, for some reason, most of my friends (retired and still working) do not use financial advisors. Some of them have stock brokers, some manage their own 401k accounts, some manage their savings using mutual fund accounts and, I’m not sure, but I think one of them uses the old “under the mattress” system <grin>.

ENJOY YOURSELF – ENJOY LIFE

How’s life? I hope you are having a good one

I am so blessed with good health (even if I am a little overweight), a wonderful wife, daughter and son-in-law, involvement in all sorts of activities, living in a wonderful part of the USA, and on and on and on. Each day I try to set aside time to give thanks for all these blessings.

Why am I telling you all this? Well, its not to brag, that’s for sure, because I know without a doubt that all of these blessings are a gift from God. . .  Of course I could tell you that, according to my financial advisor, Janie and I don’t have near enough money to last our lifetime, and that, because of our daughter’s nasty divorce, I haven’t had the privilege of speaking with my granddaughter in over 10 years and that I have a great-granddaughter that I have never seen.
